Is tu es jolie suitable for all skin types?
HOME   The active ingredients in tu es jolie products are all natural substances that have been in use for skin care for many years. So it has been demonstrated by experience that they

are safe to use across a wide range of skin types, especially delicate and sensitive skin. However, everyone's skin is difference, so if you notice a rash or irritation, you should discontinue use of that particular

product. All tu es jolie creams and lotions are supplied with a separate tester tube and we encourage you to use the tester first. If you are not happy with the tester you can return the unopened main product for a full refund. If you are using a facial treatment it may be that a tu es jolie product with a different active ingredient will suit you better.

What are the main ingredients in tu es jolie products?

Our products are distinguished by the innovative way in which they are created, which makes the active ingredient particles about 100 times smaller (nano size) so they can pass readily into the deeper skin layers. However, the active ingredients themselves are all long-proven and well accepted in the skin care industry. You probably recognise most of them: they include Aloe, witch hazel, green tea, houttuynia, jasmine, collagen, rose, mulberry, ginkgo biloba, wild yam, chamomile extract, licorice extract, vitamin K, lavender, squalene, jojoba yang yang and rice oil.

Some ingredients not found in tu es jolie are animal products of any kind (including milk). Even our sqalane is extracted from olives not fish. No tu es jolie product contains alcohol. And none are tested on animals.

Why is the toner milky?
The unique milky appearance of tu es jolie Nano Milky Toner is a totally naturally effect that results from combining high potency fresh fruit extracts including peach, mulberry, kiwi fruit and cherry with honey. In fact there is no milk in the product. There are no animal products in any tu es jolie product and no alcohol either.

How often do you use the facial treatments?
You can use tu es jolie Nano facial treatments as often as you like and enjoy increased benefits, but we recommend once to twice a week for normal skin maintenance. If you have a particular skin problem, such as acne or sun or wind damage, apply a treatment as soon as you can and repeat the next day.

        Cost of products
A full price list is available. tu es jolie Nano products are made using a new technology that is significantly more expensive than conventional methods. Despite this, the products are priced competitively with other internationally branded skin care treatments. Prices in Australia are the same (allowing for currency conversion) as is Europe.

Because we spend more on making our products but charge you the same, you are getting more product for your money (and we operate at a lower margin).

Effects/benefits of using this product rather than any other brand
tu es jolie is the only range of nano skincare products available in Australia. Nano manufacture means the particles are up to 100 times smaller, so they can easily pass through the skin and between skin cells to reach the lower skin layers where new skin cells are formed and grow. This means that with tu es jolie Nano products, much more of the active ingredients actually reach new skin cells where they can nourish cell growth. You can test this for yourself by spreading a tu es jolie Nano product (such as Milky Toner) on your skin. Within a few seconds your skin is dry: the active ingredients have been absorbed into the skin. Compare this with a normal cream or lotion, that mostly sits on the surface of your skin and leaves a residue.

        What is nano technology?
Nano simply means very small (sizes as small as one billionth of a meter, or about one thousandth of the thickness of a human hair). Nano technology is a set of manufacturing processes that enable us to make skincare active ingredients in nano-sized particles, up tp 100 times smaller than the particles in any non-nano skincare product.

Nano sized particles can easily pass through the skin and between skin cells to reach the lower skin layers where new skin cells are formed and grow. This means that with tu es jolie Nano products, much more of the active ingredients actually reach new skin cells where they can nourish cell growth.

What are the functions of each layer of skin?
The skin is your body’s biggest organ, with a key role in such critical functions as:

temperature control
breathing
fighting off disease
protecting from injury
balancing body fluids
If your skin is not working properly it can have a dramatic effect on your health. Even a modest dysfunction can quickly sap your vitality.

Your skin is made up of many layers, each with a different function. There are three main groups of layers:

the Epidermis: is the outer layer we can see. It’s the primary protective structure.
the Dermis: is the biggest, middle layer. It’s made up of fibrous connective tissue run through with capillaries, lymph vessels, nerve endings, sweat glands, sebaceous (oil producing) glands and muscle fibers. The connective tissue is mostly the protein collagen, which strengthens the skin to resist damage and tearing. Also present is the protein elastin, which helps the skin reshape after it has been stretched.
the Sub cutis: is the deepest layer. It supplies nutrients to the other layers and to the whole body. Collagen is an important part of the sub cutis as well. Its role here is to bind nutrients.
For a skincare treatment to actually nourish the skin, it must penetrate to the lowest layer of the Epidermis (called the basil layer) and beneath that to the dermis and the sub cutis where new skin cells are created and nourished.
