What
causes Acne |

Acne
includes whiteheads, blackheads, and pimples.
Teenagers are most prone to a type of acne called
called acne vulgaris. It happens when skin pores that contain oil
glands, which normally lubricate the skin and hair, become clogged
with excess oil and bacteria.
When a pore gets clogged, closes and then bulges
out, the result is a whitehead.. Pores which get clogged but stay
open become blackheads.
Pimples are the result of dead skin and bacteria
getting under the surface skin, instead of beling sloughed off.

Why
do some people get acne and others don’t? |

Acne
is partially hereditary. If your parents got acne, you probably will
too.
But it’s not all genetics. You can reduce
acne by regular cleansing, a healthy diet and moderate exercise.
The bacteria that causes acne can be transferred
via wet washcloths, so machine wash them every day or two.
Stress and sunburn encourage acne.
Makeup encourages acne; try to use less makeup,
use it only on special occasions and clean if off very thoroughly.

What
can I really do to stop ageing and wrinkles? |
|
|
|
|
|
Ageing
shows up first in your lips, around your eyes, your hands and your
neck. The
skin here is thinner and more prone to drying out and being damage.
Smoking is especially
bad for the skin around the lips.
Sun exposure
is bad for all skin, but especially the hands and the area around
the eyes, where it the skin is thin.
Always wear
a gentle sunscreen, plus sunglasses and preferably a hat.
The most important
thing however is to moisturise; paying special attention to the
area around the lips, the eyes and neck and the backs of the hands.
